Pakistan will be jointly hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 where India will be playing their matches in the Dubai International Stadium while other teams will be hosted by Pakistan.

The Champions Trophy 2025 is set to take place from the 19th of February 2025 to the 9th of March 2025. Pakistan hosting the tournament which is set to happen for 19 days. India's matches are set to take place in the United Arab Emirates due to the Hybrid model. Eight teams will take part in the tournament and are divided into two groups. Teams finishing the group in the top two spots will qualify for the semifinal.

While India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand are in Group A, Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan are in Group B. Sri Lanka will be missing their first Champions Trophy for failing to perform well in the ODI World Cup 2023, which allowed Afghanistan to register their maiden tickets for the Champions Trophy. They start the tournament as one of the dark horses.
Since the induction of the tournament in 1988 as the ICC Knockouts Trophy, only two teams have won the Champions Trophy multiple times. While India jointly won it with Sri Lanka in 2002 and beat England in the 2013 final, Australia scripted history and became the first and only team to date to defend their Champions Trophy when they won in 2006 and 2009 respectively.
