On Sunday, Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak along with his father-in-law Narayana Murthy, chief of Infosys was present for the last T20I game between India and England at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Before the last game, Rishi Sunak had a word and wished both captains for the last game of the series.
Rishi Sunak and Narayana Murthy saw an epic match between India and England as Abhishek Sharma helped India win the T20I series against England by 4-1. India defeated England by 150 runs which showed pure dominance of the Indian team. Earlier, Abhishek Sharma got off to a brilliant start as he scored a half-century from just 17 balls. Late he smashed 135 runs from just 54 balls which included 13 sixes and seven fours. Tilak Verma also gave strong support as the duo to on a partnership of 115 runs for the second wicket.
In reply to chase the target set by India England got into trouble as Ben Duckett went out on duck. But Philip Salt was the lone batter to put on a fight for the team. He scored 55 runs from 23 balls but didn’t get any support from the other end as wickets went on falling for England. England were wrapped on 97 runs as India lifted the T20I trophy in Mumbai.
As the match ended Rishi Sunak shared photos of his match experience alongside his father-in-law on Twitter, "Tough day for England at the Wankhede, but I know our team will come back stronger. Congratulations to Team India on the win."

Meanwhile, the last game of India and England T20I series saw many big people like Mukesh Ambani, Akash Ambani, and Ajay Piramal coming to watch the match live in the stadium. The whole stadium was on their feet after Abhishek Sharma scored a century. Mukesh Ambani was seen giving a standing ovation to Abhishek Sharma for his century.
After winning the T20I series in Mumbai the action between India and England shifts to Nagpur for the Three-match ODI series between the two teams. This series will be a warm-up for both teams as they prepare for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan and UAE. Both the teams are placed in different groups but may face in the latter stage of the Champions Trophy.
