BCCI Secretary Jay Shah helps Indian Journalists to fly out of Barbados due to Hurricane

BCCI secretary Jay Shah came to the rescue and sent a special flight to fly them to Delhi so the journalists would travel with the cricketers on the same flight back to Delhi.

Hurricane Beryl made its downfall in Barbados on June 30, shutting all the airports and modes of transport. Therefore, the Indian Cricket team and the journalists were stranded in Barbados and had to spend time in a hotel room. After that, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Jay Shah, came to the rescue and sent a special flight to fly them to Delhi. The journalists will travel with the cricketers on the same flight back to Delhi. 

"Special thanks to @JayShah for taking the initiative and ‘rescuing’ stranded Indian media in Barbados. As a gesture, the 20-odd media contingent have been offered to fly out with the Indian team on the special chartered flight from Barbados to Delhi! The special flight will take off In a few hours and land in Delhi around 4-5 Thursday morning,” wrote Gupta on his X account," tweeted Vikrant Gupta. 

Fans are waiting in India to see their players and the trophy coming back after a wait of 17 years. Moreover, the team will reach Delhi tomorrow at 6 AM and meet PM Narendra Modi. The special day for the fans has finally arrived, and they'll get to see the trophy.

Shubman Gill-led India team reached Zimbabwe for 5-match T20I series

India's junior team travelled to Zimbabwe to play a 5-match series against Zimbabwe in Harare. The matches are set to start on July 6, and Shubhman Gill was handed the team's command. He will be playing with some of the debutants and the inexperienced players who are looking forward to scoring well and making their place on the team permanent. 

Moreover, VVS Laxman has gone with the team as their coach. The team has some players like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson, who have played some senior-level matches. Additionally, players like Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana have replaced Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, and Shivam Dube, who are stuck in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl.
