Varun Aaron, a former Indian cricket player who is now a commentator, has shown a lot of praise for fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah as he compared him to a vaccination.  Since making his comeback to play in the present Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) after three months, Bumrah has been in fantastic form.   One of the key factors in their progress to Qualifier 2 thus far has been the speedster, who has coordinated many crushing victories in the current season.

In the eliminator match against Gujarat Titans, Jasprit Bumrah once again demonstrated his ability to change the course of games by smashing Washington Sundar's stumps with a toe-crushing yorker, which allowed the Mumbai Indians (MI) to take advantage.  After his outstanding achievements, Vaurn Aaron gave Bumrah a special "vaccine" analogy, referring to him as the remedy for all of the bowling team's ailments.

"He's like an antidote, a vaccine that can cure any illness which a bowling side can have. If you want wickets, he comes and gets you wickets. If you want to stop runs, he stops runs for you. Man, what a bowler." Aaron said on Cricinfo's 'Timeout'. Aaron also talked about how, as the game was sliding away from MI's control, Burmah reassured a frightened Mahela Jayawardene on the boundary line that he would make a recovery.

"And the belief he has in his ability. You have an international coach, Mahela Jayawardene, who is obviously panicking because his bowlers have suddenly started to go to the cleaners, and he just comes around and is like, 'Just calm down; I'll do the job for you.' Comes in, runs in, gets hit for a six, and then gets that ball," he added.
