Australia Women have remained unbeaten in the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 and are headed for a successful title defense. Along with them, England women, the finalists of the 2022 World Cup, have qualified for the semifinal. While the South African women are on the brink of qualifying for the final 4, the Indian women find themselves in a spot of bother.

Much like any other edition of a Women's World Cup, the Australian Women seem to formidable on paper and through their performances. A number of times in the World Cup, the world champions were challenged, only to bounce back stronger. They are among the favorites to win and stand a great chance to defend the title.

The Australian Women's team has a great set of batters. Their opening batters, Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield, give good starts more often than not. To follow them in the middle order are experienced batters like Ellyse Perry and Beth Mooney. In the All-rounders category, they have great options like Ashleigh Gardner, Tahlia McGrath, and Annabel Sutherland.

The Australian Women's bowling hasn't been as formidable as they otherwise have been. Yet, the bowling attack of Megan Schutt, Alana King, Georgia Wareham, and the bowling All-rounders have been formidable. Australia has remained at the top as the table and has has leading run-scorer (Healy) and wicket taker (Sutherland) in the tournament. Along with that, they've had some incredible individual performers.

India

India hasn't had a good time in the last few games. After winning the first two matches against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the hosts lost against South Africa, Australia, and England, respectively. India must win its remaining matches against New Zealand and Bangladesh, respectively, to qualify for the semifinal. While the Indian team is known for losing from easy scenarios, if things go its way, they might upset Australia. India has beaten Australia in some matches lately, which should encourage them.

South Africa

South Africa lost badly to England to start its campaign in the T20 World Cup. However, since then, they have beaten teams like India and New Zealand. A couple of more wins would ensure their qualification for semifinal, which seems likely at this point. While they aren't a match for Australia on paper, this could become interesting if certain aspects of the game go their way. South Africa has some players who can win matches on their own on their days.

England

England is the best team that has a slight chance of beating Australia. They were runner-ups in the previous edition in 2022 and have some players intact in 2025. England has remained unbeaten in the tournament, just like Australia. However, they came close to losing against Pakistan and India. However, having overcome those tough situation to emerge victorious would've boosted their confidence, big time.
