The Indian opener registered her fifth consecutive fifty-plus score against the World Champions in the group stage match of the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025. By scoring a fabulous 80(66), Smriti broke many major records in Women's ODIs.

The Southpaw became the first and only batter to date to score 1000 or more runs in a calendar year in Women's ODIs. She became the fastest Women's batter to score 5000 runs in ODIs, which showed her terrific ability to not just score runs consistently, but also do so in an aggressive way to help the team's cause.

Mandhana's knock helped India to gain the driver's seat during her stay in the middle. As she completed over 5000 runs in Women's ODIs, the star batter joined the elite league of players to have reached the landmark. Apart from Mandhana, there's one other Indian in the list along with a Kiwi batter, an English veteran, and a West Indian great.

Mithali Raj

Mithali Raj is regarded as one of the greatest batters in the history of Women's ODIs. When she retired in the early 2020s, Raj was the highest run-scorer in Women's ODIs. While she still has the record to date, it might be breached in the upcoming years. Mithali took 144 innings to score over 5000 runs in Women's ODIs.

Suzie Bates

Suzie Bates is one of the most experienced batters in world cricket along with her fellow teammate, Sophie Devine. The Kiwi star got to the landmark of over 5000 runs in Women's ODIs in just 136 innings, which is the third least number taken by a batter for the milestone.

Stefanie Taylor held on to the record of the least innings taken by a batter to score over 5000 runs in Women's ODIs for over half a decade. The West Indian batter had a terrific career as an All-rounder and was particularly good with the bat. She took just 129 innings to reach the milestone of over 5000 runs in Women's ODIs, which was very quick.
