Many such instances have been recorded since 2023, where many 250+ totals have been chased down successfully. In fact, two teams have successfully chased a 300+ total, both against the home teams.
Australia women dominate the list of highest successful run chases in women's ODIs. After all, they have the best barring unit comprising of greats like Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Phoebe Litchfield, Ashleigh Gardner, and Tahlia McGrath. Four of the top five highest successful run chases in women's ODIs belong to the Australian women.

282 by Australia women against India women
Australia chased down 282 against the Indian women earlier this year in 2025. In the series ahead of the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025, India hosted one of the three ODIs in New Chandigarh. Despite having to chase 282, Australia did so comfortably in a little over 40 years, which was insane to say the least.

The Australian women have chased many 250+ totals against the Indian women successfuy in ODIs in the last few years. One such instance was chasing 283 in 2023 in Mumbai. Despite batting well, the Indian women's bowling unit could not contain the terrific batting lineup of the Australian women's team.

Back in 2012, the Australian women had set the then record for the highest successful run chase in women's ODIs. It was the match against the New Zealand women in Sydney and the target was 289. The Australian women successfully chased down the total and set a record that stayed intact for 12 years.
302 by Sri Lanka women against South Africa women
Sri Lanka scripted history a year ago, when they became the first team to successfully chase down a target of over 300 in ODIs. In Potchefstroom in 2024, Sri Lanka was given a target of 302, which was never chased before in women's cricket. However, Chamari Athapaththu's masterclass helped Sri Lanka women script a famous win.

The Australian women pulled off a terrific run chase in the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025. In the group stage match against the Indian women in Visakhapatnam, Australia conceded 330, which was their worst bowling performance in a World Cup match. However, the batters, led by the skipper Alyssa Healy herself, compensated for it with a successful chase.
