3 Players who can replace Rachin Ravindra in Champions Trophy squad

In the opening game of the tri-series against Pakistan on Saturday, February 8 in Lahore, Rachin Ravindra, the batsman for New Zealand, got struck, in the face while trying to make a catch, seriously injuring him. The incident occured during Michael Bracewell's 38th over of Pakistan's innings. On the third ball of the over, Khushdil Shah swept Bracewell's delivery high into the air towards the deep square leg, where Ravindra was positioned.

The ball struck him squarely in the face, leaving the Kiwi opener unable to react under the lights. Immediately after the accident, Rachin Ravindra collapsed to the ground and was observed bleeding heavily near his eyes. To try to stop the severe bleeding, the team's physio covered his full face with a towel and took him off the field right away. This is a serious concern for Kiwis ahead of the ongoing tri-series and upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
