Rachin Ravindra faced a massive injury during the match against Pakistan in the tri-team series that also involves South Africa. The star New Zealander had to be taken off the field immediately and has raised a massive concern for fans and his team.
Everyone in the stadium was shell shocked when the incident happened in the 38th over. Michael Bracewell bowled a short delivery to Khushdil Shah, which he pulled in the deep square leg region. Ravindra did not judge the speed of the ball and was hit directly in the face. A bleeding Ravindra, after receiving first aid on the field, had to be taken off the field with a towel on his face.

New Zealand register massive 78-run win over Pakistan
Earlier in the day, the Kiwis won the toss and decided to bat first. Despite a couple of early wickets, they were off to a great start, thanks to a 95-run partnership between Kane Williamson and Daryll Mitchell. The former skipper Williamson played the anchor role with his score of 58 runs in 89 balls, which included seven boundaries. The all-rounder, on the other hand, played a lot quicker, scoring 81 runs in 84 balls. He hit two fours and four sixes in his innings.
The best performer for the Kiwis, however, was Glenn Phillips, who scored his maiden ODI hundred. His powerpacked 106 runs in 74 balls, including six fours and seven sixes, helped his team to a massive score of 330 runs.
In the chase, despite best efforts from Fakhar Zaman (84 runs in 69 balls) and Salma Agha (40 runs in 51 balls), Pakistan were bundled out for 252 runs. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and failed to make any significant partnerships.
