It will act as a preparatory assignment for the two finalists of the T20 World Cup 2024. Indian bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, and others will be the ones to watch out for in the series.
In February and March in 2026, the T20 World Cup 2026 will take place. The tournament is only about 50 days away from starting and India will play 10 T20Is before that, 5 of them are against South Africa, whom India beat in the 2024 finals. The series will hence be key for India's preparation.

Jasprit Bumrah isn't playing ODIs and is solely concentrating on Tests and T20Is in 2025. The star bowler didn't have his best outing in the Asia Cup and would love to return back to form in the series against South Africa. His performances will be key for India in its T20 WC defense.
India's spin twins key in bowling against South Africa
Kuldeep Yadav has probably been India's best bowler in 2025. The chinaman spinner was India's best bowler in the Asia Cup and will hope to continue his good form. He is a wicket taking bowler and has formed a great bowling duo with Varun Chakravarthy.

The latter will be the bowler to watch out for in the series. The mystery spinner is good at both containing runs and taking wickets. He has the knack of taking outfoxing some of the best batters in the world. Together, Chakravarthy and Kuldeep form a great spin bowling duo for India in the middle overs.
