India is set to play 10 T20Is, 5 each against South Africa and New Zealand, respectively, before their title defense. The series against the 2024 finalists will be key for India's preparation.

Tilak Varma hasn't been at his best in 2025, unlike 2024, where he scored runs for fun at an aggressive rate. While he did have a great outing against England, Tilak hasn't fared as well since then. Abhishek Sharma will be the batter to watch out for in the series, who has been the best T20I batter of the year. The world no.1 T20I batter has been in a purple patch, scoring runs for fun at an aggressive rate. Once set, he will be hard to be stopped, which makes him a very dangerous batter.
