Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to enter its 18th season this year. In just two months the biggest names in the league will be part of the carnival. Ten teams will vie for the biggest prize in T20 franchise cricket history.
There are many players who have played for multiple sides in the history of the league. During the league, there have been many active players who have played for both Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The two former champions have won the title once and will be vying to win the trophy for the second time this year.
Some of the biggest names in the world have played for both sides. The likes of David Warner, Steve Smith, Shane Watson, Kane Williamson, R. Ashwin, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been part of these sides. There are few active players though who have had the chance to don the coveted jerseys of both sides.

South African powerhouse Heinrich Klaasen made his IPL foray in 2018 after being picked by Rajasthan Royals. The destructive wicketkeeper and batter played just four games for the former IPL champions and scored 57 runs with a best of 32 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). After a brief stint with RCB the next season, Klaasen missed three IPL seasons before being picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad. The 33-year-old has scored 927 runs for SRH with one century and five half-centuries with a strike rate of 173. Heinrich Klaasen is one of the most well-known active IPL players to play for both SRH and RR in IPL history.

New Zealand left-arm pacer has played for five teams in the IPL. The 35-year-old is one of the few active players to have played for both SRH and RR in IPL history. Boult, began his IPL career with SRH where he played eight games and picked ten wickets. This was followed by stints with KKR and Delhi Capitals before moving to Mumbai Indians for two seasons. During his time with MI, Boult was part of the team that won the IPL 2020 title. After being released by MI, the left-arm pacer moved to Rajasthan Royals. Boult played 42 games and picked 45 wickets with a best of 3/22.

Veteran Indian pacer Sandeep Sharma made his IPL debut with Punjab Kings where he played for five season and picked 73 wickets. After being released by Punjab at the end of the 2017 season, Sandeep moved to SRH where he picked 41 wickets from 43 mathes with a best of 3/19. India’s former Under-19 World Cup winner then moved to Rajasthan Royals where he has so far played 23 matches and picked 23 wickets. His best of 5/18 came against Mumbai Indians during the 2024 season at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
