In the ongoing season of Liga ACB Barcelona was swept in the semifinals by Real Madrid. After the series, he was interviewed by a European reporter whose questions left him in tears.

Moreover, a controversial response from a reporter fueled the fire. As soon as Parker started crying reporter asked “What's wrong boy? Are you ok?" With Parker being unable to answer anything reporter left him saying that he would be back soon.
Barcelona extended Jabari Parker’s contract!
The video of the incident soon went viral on social media as fans found reporters' behaviour derogatory and uncalled. Some fans called it ‘diabolical’ while others slammed the reporter for not having an empathic conversation.
Notably, after leaving the NBA to play in Europe, Jabari Parker made a significant impact in Liga ACB, leading his team to the semi-finals. However, they were swept in the semi-finals, unable to secure a win in the best-of-five series.
In the decisive game against Real Madrid, Parker led with 27 points and six rebounds in 31 minutes, playing alongside former NBA players Ricky Rubio and Willy Hernangomez. Despite this being Parker's first stint abroad, Barcelona was thrilled with his contributions and extended his contract until 2026.
