Wednesday night's 93-86 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks gave Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever their fifth straight victory. The Fever are now 18-16 overall and have already guaranteed a berth in the WNBA Playoffs. In WNBA history, Clark was the only rookie to finish a game with a triple-double before Wednesday.

Clark grabbed her eleventh rebound and second triple-double of the year with 10 seconds remaining in the game. On July 6, she made her debut appearance against New York Liberty. She completed this accomplishment for the second time, much to the delight of a loud home audience who had been waiting for this moment. After completing the feat Caitlin Clark couldn’t hold her smile and while she was running back.

Clark discussed her second triple-double with CBS Sports Network after the game. Clark responded bluntly when asked whether she knew she needed one more rebound to get it. "Of course, I knew," Clark said. "Honestly, we were just trying to get stops. I thought our defence got a lot better there at the end of the game. But we need to find a way to be consistent there for four quarters. Proud of our group. We find a way to get it done. But somebody had to get the rebound," as Athlon Sports Caitlin Clark said.

Indiana Fever has the best record in WNBA

At the end of the Los Angeles Sparks game, Clark finished with 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 24 points on 8 of 17 shooting. In addition, she became the WNBA's fastest player to ever achieve 100 three-pointers made. The Fever had a 1-8 record to begin the 2024 season. They have gone 17-8 since then and have established themselves as one of the league's most formidable teams.

Due to Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell's brilliance, the Fever have the best record in the league since the WNBA returned from its Olympic hiatus, at 7-1. August's Rookie and Player of the Month went to Clark, but Mitchell was also a strong candidate for an award. Fortunately, both guys are on the Fever, for Indiana supporters.
