San Antonio Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama's celebration of tossing of basketball into the stands proved expensive as on Sunday NBA fined home for $25,000. The incident took place on Friday as the San Antonio Spurs won the game against the New York Knicks in overtime by 130-126. Victor Wembanyama was fined $2,000 for a technical foul as he was bouncing the ball over his head in anger previously.

On the game's last play, Victor Wembanyama stole a long pass, wrapped his arms around the ball, high-fived a courtside spectator, and hurled the ball a few rows into the crowd. Victor Wembanyama scored 40 points and seven assists. While he is on the verge of winning NBA Rookie of the Year. In this NBA season his average of 21 points and 10.5 rebounds.

San Antonio Spurs placed in 15th position of the Western Conference

For New York Kicks Jalen Brunson scored 61 points but eventually lost the game by only four points despite his remarkable performance. The victory was the Spurs' third in their previous five games. Despite Wembanyama's impressive play, the Spurs are in 15th position of the Western Conference, with an 18-56 record in 74 games.

So far in this current season of the NBA, only eight games are left for the San Antonio Spurs. They will play four at home and four on the road. San Antonio Spurs return to play tonight on NBA Sundays, hosting the Golden State Warriors at Frost Bank Centre. 

 The New York Knicks' record slipped to 44-29 in 73 games, leaving them as the Eastern Conference's fourth seed. While the New York Knicks will face the Oklahoma City Thunders.
