‘I can’t wait for this moment’ - LeBron James talks about playing with Bronny James

The long-held desire of LeBron James to play with his son Bronny James is about to come true. Bronny James became the first father-son team to play in the NBA when the Los Angeles Lakers picked him as the 55th choice in the 2024 NBA Draft. LeBron, 39, spoke about the possibility of playing alongside his oldest child in a newly published interview from his program "The Shop," which was filmed in Paris while he was in the city to earn his third gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. 

LeBron James showed his enthusiasm by referring to this as a "dream come true" and a "fulfilled aspiration." In addition, he emphasized how crucial it is for Bronny to continue forging his own path as a player even as they get ready to play together.

During a recent interview by Pinkvilla, LeBron James said, "I can't wait for this moment. I really cannot wait to hit the floor with [Bronny], It's going to be pretty surreal for me. That might be the first time I sit back like, 'Oh, s--, this is really cool.' I,ve been so in the moment my whole career that I pray and hope that me being with my son will finally give me the opportunity to pull back an appreciate it."

LeBron James is keen to assist Bronny James

Bronny's career has been paved with obstacles, one of which being a serious health scare in July 2023 when he had a congenital heart abnormality and experienced cardiac arrest during practice. Nonetheless, he had a great return, playing for USC and finishing his rookie year with an average of 4.8 points and 2.1 assists.

LeBron James is keen to assist Bronny James in his growth as a professional athlete, and both players are expected to handle the special dynamics of their connection both on and off the court as they begin this new era.
