Devin Booker gave his opinion on the old comments of Noah Lyles about the NBA Champions claiming themselves to be the world champions. The star player disagreed with the old comment of Noah and felt winning at the NBA was difficult because most of the best players in the world take part in the league.

Devin said it was coming from someone who won an Olympic gold medal in Tokyo, referring to himself. In the Tokyo Olympics, Booker played a key role in the USA defending their gold medal. He felt that it was harder for him to be an NBA Champion than to win the Olympic Gold medal in Basketball. The statement of Devin has gone viral on social media.

"I still don’t agree with the comment. I feel like all the best talent in the world is in the NBA, and this is coming from an Olympic gold medalist (who believes) that being an NBA champion is probably harder to do," said Booker. The statement was a reply from Devin to Lyles's take after winning the World Championship in the men's 100m race in 2023.

Devin Booker praises Noah Lyles' effort

After the event, he said that winning the NBA final isn't equivalent to being a world champion. The statement, however, was not taken seriously by Booker. In fact, he praised Lyles for his performance in the Paris Olympics 2024. Booker was one of the several USA players who were present in the final of the Men's 100m final.

Devin felt that Noah might have said it out of context. He felt Lyles ended up saying something that probably stuck in his heart for a long time. But he was happy for the 27-year-old for his achievement. "He’s gained a following since then. He held it down, though, so congrats to him," added Booker as Lyles won the 100m finals at the Olympics 2024.
