How has Basketball been associated with WWE during NBA and post WrestleMania?

In the last few months, there seems to have been some association between Basketball and WWE. Especially at the peak of the NBA Playoffs season, there were a lot of ways the two industries tried to collaborate to help each other grow. One can expect many such moments even shortly and beyond.

During one of the matches in the NBA, the entrance theme of Jey Uso was played. The NBA fans reacted well to it and got themselves groove for it. The video went viral after the Main Event Jey had a great entrance at Backlash 2024 where the French crowd showed how to welcome a Superstar like Jey. Since then, the fans have been replicating the entrance in all the arenas Jey goes to.

In one of the Smackdown episodes, Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Brunson went head-on against each other. While Tyrese teamed up with Logan Paul, Jaylen came to the assistance of LA Knight. The segment garnered a lot of interaction from the NBA crowd and the WWE fans. It was to an extent that many predicted them to wrestle in a WWE match in the near future.

While Haliburton assisted Paul by giving him a braced knuckle, Jalen helped Knight by giving him a steel chair. In a recent segment, WWE Superstars were asked to pick their favourite Olympians. Some of them happened to mention some of the USA Basketball stars. Likewise, Caitlin Clark seems to be in huge demand in WWE.

Bianca Belair, one of the top female stars of the company, felt that it could be beneficial for both the women's division of WWE and the WNBA if she appeared as a participant at the women's Royal Rumble 2025. When Clark appeared in a recent award show, her attitude was claimed to be similar to that of a WWE baby face by the fans.
