Anthony Davis is number one target for New York Knicks: Reports

According to the reports, Anthony Davis is a number one target for the New York Knicks and he is on the “dream list” for the upcoming NBA season. As per Lakers Daily, “I know who the Knicks have had conversations about,” Carton said. “I’m going to tell you. There is a player that I don’t think they can get, but I know who is No. 1 on the Knicks’ dream list. I know this. It’s a fact. It’s 100 per cent. Just trust me on it. I’ve said it on this show before. The New York Knicks – if they could make it happen and figure it out – would like to add Anthony Davis to the roster. That’s the guy that they want more than any other player in the league.”

It is doubtful that the Los Angeles Lakers will let go of the nine-time All-Star, especially given that he has shown to be a fantastic complement to LeBron James, earning a championship alongside the four-time champion in the 2019–20 campaign. However, the Knicks may try to hide Davis.

Anthony Davis has a player option for the 2027–2028 season and is signed with the Lakers for the next two seasons at the very least. Because Davis is already signed for several seasons, the Knicks would have a difficult time acquiring him unless they could lure the Lakers with a package of players and draft selections.

However, there is no doubt for Anthony Davis that he is one of the best players on the court. On the other hand, LeBron James is now entering his final years in the NBA. For the Los Angeles Lakers Anthony Davis played 76 games and his average was 24.7 points, 2.3 blocks, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. He was also named in All-NBA, All-Defensive and All-Star selections. In Defensive Player of the Year award, he came in fourth position.
