The MotoGP Sprint race in Australia saw a massive incident between Marco Bezzecchi and Maverick Vinales in the final few minutes of the race. The Sprint race was won by Jorge Martin, Marc Marquez and Enea Bastianini at the poles. The highlight of the sprint race happened between VR 46 Teams Marco Bezecchi and Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales in the corner. Both the riders are fighting hard for the 5th place in the Phillip Islands circuit.
Bezzecchi was well ahead of Vinales but the Aprilia machine seemed to have a thrilling pace this weekend as it overcame the Ducati at a very high speed many times. Maverick Vinales after losing the front row was riding at a 140 MPH over Bezzecchi to catch back the position and went into the corners. The VR 46 rider was taking the split stream behind Vinales and he was chasing him to the corner.
Massive and scary crash
The Incident happened after Bezecchi couldn't control his bike and crashed right back at Vinales both the riders were thrown out of the track and the bikes were torn into pieces. The track was already windy as riders found it very difficult to control the speed. The slipstream Sucked Bezzecchi into the back of Maverick Vinales and they both crashed and were out of the sprint race and lost some valuable points.
Many riders crashed during the race with Hometown boy Jack Miller sliding into the corner and giving his points position to Brad Binder. The rookie of the Gas Gas Tech 3 racing team Pedro Acosta also crashed out of the sprint race. Tomorrow it will be the race day and Jorge Martin will look to extend his lead over his rival and reigning world champion Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati. Only three and a half rounds remain this year so it will be a very thrilling to the end of the season in MotoGP.
