Last year, the Las Vegas Grand Prix was unforgettable for many as it was the first F1 race held in the city under lights. The race was held at the Las Vegas Strip circuit in Paradise, Nevada as the Penultimate race of the 2023 Formula 1 season. The two Ferrari’s of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were the fastest on the grid taking 1-2 pole positions after qualifying.
Sainz lost his position to Max Verstappen after a Grid penalty, which pushed him to 12th in the race. Verstappen won the race, while Leclerc passed Perez on the final lap finishing second, while Perez settled for third place. Max Verstappen successfully won the inaugural Las Vegas GP race. Carlos Sainz finished the race at sixth next to Lance Stroll.

But the highlight of the weekend was Carlos Sainz breaking the Netflix Cup, which was given to him for winning the All-Golf game. There was a Golf game conducted by Netflix and the race organizers which included Carlos Sainz partnering with two-time major winner and former world No. 1 Golf player Justin Thomas, Lando Norris who paired with Rickie Fowler, Alex Albon who partnered with Max Homa and Pierre Gasly partnered with Collin Morikawa in the Nine hole match.
In the end, Carlos Sainz and Thomas pair won the game and the golf cup presented by Netflix. The pair were presented with the cup along with chequered flag shirts and some champagne. But after getting all in his hands he held the Netflix cup singlehandedly while he kept the Champagne bottle on the table.
But suddenly he lost the grip and dropped the Netflix cup which broke into pieces and was left in ruins. The Spaniard couldn't believe what happened and kept his hands above his head holding and watching the ruins in shock. Netflix is currently doing a documentary about Formula 1 called ‘Drive to Survive’, but their trophy didn't survive the celebrations by Carlos Sainz. F1 drivers breaking cups are not new as Lando Norris broke Max Veratsppen's cup during the Hungary GP last year.
