Jeremy Clarkson host of the world-famous ‘Top Gear’ show recently claimed the reigning world champion Max Verstappen as the greatest driver of all time. Writing for a British daily newspaper Jeremy Clarkson wrote about Max Verstappen as “May even be the greatest driver we’ve ever seen.”

Former world champion slams Clarkson
But the statement did not go well with the Former world champion Jacques Villeneuve as he slammed Jeremy for his flaw when claiming Max verstappen was the Greatest of all time. The 1997 Formula 1 world champion feels that each era has different drivers and no one can be claimed as the greatest driver of all time.
He said “How can Jeremy Clarkson say Max Verstappen is the greatest of all time? He had a great season when he beat Lewis Hamilton for his first championship. Then he’s had the same way that Lewis won his first one. Then he’s had easy ones, the same way Lewis had easy ones. And this year he’s been fighting back. So this year has been a great year.” The Canadian said Max Verstappen cannot be compared with Former legend Fangio as they are from different eras.

Villeneuve concluded by saying “You cannot say any of them is the greatest of all time. The sport has changed too much.” This is not the first time Jeremy Clarkson has commented about Formula 1 sport as he is a close observer of the sport. Max Verstappen is heading to Las Vegas with the hope of winning his fourth consecutive world title.
He will then equal Former Red Bull driver and world champion Sebastian Vettel’s 4 world titles. Only Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are ahead of Verstappen having 7 world titles. Jacques Villeneuve believes verstappen has everything in him to become the seven-time world champion. He also compared Fernando Alonso the same way he tried many times to win the world title with Ferrari. Verstappen is leading Lando Norris by 62 points with still three races left this season.
