Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc crashed heavily during his warm-up lap at the Miami Autodrome. The drama has started in Miami, with Leclerc's participation in the race is officially over. He is out of the race as the possibility of him starting the race from the grid is not possible. Rain was predicted before the race, and the teams fitted the intermediates to their cars. The Ferrari driver was carrying Intermediate tyres as he exited the garage, but the rain was too much.

The Monegasque Formula 1 driver had no choice but to continue the drive. As he approached the DRS zone, his car slipped and he crashed straight into the wall. The right side of his Ferrari was completely damaged, with the tyres hanging. Aquaplaning was the reason behind Leclerc’s crash as he needed more rubber to keep his car on the track. He should have gone with the full wets, as the intermediates didn't give enough grip.
Leclerc continued towards his garage for repair, but his team advised him to stop the car on the side to avoid further damage. Rain will play a big role in this race, and whichever driver is the best in these conditions will triumph. Charles is not even a bad driver in wet conditions, but the race track has many fast exits, which makes it difficult for the drivers to control the car under heavy rain. The Ferrari driver finished P6 in the Sprint qualifying, but now he is out of the race.
Now that the rain has stopped, the conditions remain tricky with more water on the track. Ferrari will now keep their hopes on Lewis Hamilton, who will be the only Ferrari driver for today's Sprint race. Kimi Antonelli is facing the challenge of his life, and we wish the 18-year-old Italian all the best to win his first race in Formula 1. The starting procedure has been red-flagged due to the worst conditions, and the drivers returned to the pit lane. The drivers will remain there until the conditions improve.
