Max Verstappen was seen with his race engineer during the 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix race. The recently become father was showing the picture of his daughter to his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase. The race engineer has been very close to Verstappen for many years. The video shows Max showing the picture of his baby stored on his smartphone.
The 2024 Formula 1 world champion will compete for the first time as a father. He and Kelly Piquet started dating in 2020, and for the last five years, they have been living together in Monaco. Kelly already has a daughter named Penelope, who was born to Danii Kvyat, a former Red Bull driver. Though Max Verstappen is not the biological father of Penelope, he is very close to her.

Now that the baby girl is born, Max is back to F1 racing, and he joined his team just before the first practice session. Vertsappen shared the happy news with his team, and many of his rivals congratulated him on becoming a father. The four-time world champion also expressed happiness at spending some time with his child.
The Red Bull driver qualified fourth in the Sprint qualifying session. He is the sprint race winner last year, and let's see how he performs this year with new rivals. Kimi Antonelli, the rookie driver, stunned Max and other drivers by clinching the pole position. Mercedes is looking very strong all weekend, and so is Red Bull. McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris will start in P2 and P3.
It will be a tight battle among the top four teams to win the sprint race. Then they will head to the qualifying session, followed by the main race tomorrow. This will be the first race for Max Verstappen after becoming a father. So he now has more responsibility, and let us hope his new child brings him luck at the Miami race.
