At the Canadian Grand Prix, Kevin Magnussen showcased an impressive performance for Haas. The Grand Prix weekend in Montreal was greatly affected by light and moderate rain. However, Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg outplayed everyone with some impressive runs. 

Starting from P14, Magnussen, along with teammate Nico Hulkenberg, was the only driver to begin on full-wet tyres, allowing them to find exceptional grip. Magnussen surged to P4 in the opening laps, demonstrating Haas's bold strategy.

Though both drivers ultimately finished outside the points, with Magnussen in P11 and Hulkenberg just missing the top ten, their aggressive tyre choice highlighted Haas's fearless decision-making. This bravery indicates Haas's potential to enhance their standings significantly, maintaining a slim two-point advantage over Alpine.

How did Haas’s blunder move give a setback at the Canadian GP?

At the Canadian Grand Prix, Haas faced a significant setback too. It happened with Kevin Magnussen's pit stop. When switching from wet to intermediate tyres on lap eight, the pit crew was unprepared, leading to a prolonged 8.6-second stop. 

This blunder caused Magnussen to drop to 12th place, a fall greater than what would have occurred with an average pit stop. This mistake highlighted operational issues within the team, severely impacting their race performance and chances of securing a better finish.

Meanwhile, In a dramatic moment, Haas driver Nico Hulkenberg narrowly avoided a collision with Yuki Tsunoda in Montreal. As the race neared its end, Tsunoda and his teammate Daniel Ricciardo were aiming for double points for VCARB.

However, a minor mistake sent Tsunoda off into the grass, causing him to spin back onto the track. This sudden move forced other drivers to take evasive actions to prevent a major crash.
