The Ferrari pair of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz is the fan-favourite duo in the entire Formula 1 grid. Especially for the women fans, these two drivers are like love birds, People love to see them together during every race weekend. But everything needs to end at one point, and it has come now with the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this week.
Earlier this year, Ferrari signed the 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton in an iconic multi-year deal. The British driver is the biggest name in Formula 1 and by signing him, Ferrari has made one of the greatest deals in Formula 1 after Michael Schumacher. But it has come at a cost. They needed to let go of one of their performing drivers Carlos Sainz.
The Spanish driver joined Ferrari in 2021 after the Italian team broke with 4-time world champion Sebastian Vettel. For the last four years, Carlos Sainz has been performing wonderfully well for the Maranello team. Formula 1 is a huge business and to do that they need lots and lots of money. Through Hamilton, Ferrari will earn billions in shares and sponsors, so they have decided to end their partnership with the Spaniard.
The Duo went for some Adventure.
Carlos, after some hard work in the paddock, searching for a driver seat, found one in Williams Racing and will replace Franco Colapinto next year. But before that, Leclerc and Sainz seem to be enjoying their final weekend as teammates. Though they had some disagreements with race strategy in Las Vegas GP, everything is forgotten now and they are spending their pre-race week with some adventure and fun. The Video was taken by Carlos Sainz when Charles Leclerc was doing some adventurous wakeboarding in Abu Dhabi with the help of a Drone. The Monegasque driver seems to be frightened by the adventure but he goes on with it.
They also did one of the regular simulators before the race weekend and it was Carlos Sainz driving the simulator and Leclerc watching him race. Sainz spoke about their last race together as teammates with some cry-mimicking and Leclerc tells Sainz to stop mentioning the last race weekend.

The pair also talked about the Yas Marina track and they both agreed the track wasn't special for them. Carlos Sainz also starts singing, ‘When I See You Again’ from the Fast and Furious movie. Leclerc says the challenge was happy until Sainz mentioned their separation. The casual talk between the two great drivers is lovely to see and we can expect the same even next year during their meet.
Lewis Hamilton will join Charles Leclerc as a new teammate in the 2025 season. Both Leclerc and Sainz will miss each other. By racing together for Ferrari they gave some of the iconic memories for the Formula 1 fans. Hope we see this pair as teammates somewhere in the future.
