The fan-favourite driver duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz seems to have broken up officially as the two drivers were not seen together going to Abu Dhabi for the final race. The Ferrari drivers used to travel together for every race in a private jet.
But the last couple of races were intense between the two and it was exposed during the Las Vegas Grand prix in the United States. Carlos Sainz was asked to give the position to Charles Leclerc who was behind him. The Spaniard didn't respond to the team call and the Monegasqque driver finished 4th behind his teammate and lost some 5 extra points which would have been handy for him to fight against Lando Norris for second.

After the race, Leclerc was fuming over the radio dropping many F-bombs all over the conversation. Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur intercepted to cool down the Ferrari driver but he obeyed no one and kept venting his anger and frustration.
Carlos Sainz complained after the race that some things need not be spoken openly. Leclerc also promised to dominate his teammate in the remaining two races and he officially did in the Qatar GP by finishing P2 where the Spaniard finished sixth.

The Ferrari Breakup Story
The Final race will be held in Abu Dhabi, and instead of going with his teammate Carlos Sainz, Leclerc joined his old friend Pierre Gasly, who accompanied his girlfriend Kika Gomes, and the trio flew to Abu Dhabi. What started as a pure friendship between Sainz and Leclerc has now ended with some hard feelings. Carlos will be leaving way for Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari and join the Williams F1 team next year.
Carlos Sainz was never seen in the picture as he seems to have gone solo to the final race. The two drivers are invited by Jetex an airline company based out of the United Arab Emirates. Leclerc is crucial for Ferrari securing the constructor's championship, while Pierre Gasly will be crucial for Alpine's 6th place finish in constructors ahead of the Haas F1 team.
