The Ferrari signed the biggest deal of the decade by bringing Lewis Hamilton into the team from Mercedes. The 7-time world champion will drive a Ferrari car from next year as he signed a multiyear deal with the Maranello squad. This will also be the first time where Lewis will drive a non-Mercedes engine in F1 races. The deal is so big as ferrari earned a billion dollars worth of investment in a single day and their share value grew 6 to 10%. It made Lewis Hamilton the most underpaid driver ever in Formula 1.

The British driver will join big names like Fangio, Prost, Mansell, Niki Lauda, Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, and Sebastian vettel to drive for the iconic Ferrari team. But at what cost? The signing has caused the Italian team to part ways with one of their best-performing driver Carlos Sainz.

Carlos Jr. was a consistent performer for Ferrari and with his help, Ferrari is consistently holding up the second place in the constructors championship. Last year he was the only Non Red Bull winner in the Singapore Grand prix against Verstappen and perez.

If not for Lewis Hamilton the Maranello team would have signed another Multi-year deal with Sainz jr at least until the end of the 2026 season. After the signing, Carlos Sainz jr was left stranded for a driver's seat. He did all the hard work along with his father searching for a seat, he finally found one in Williams and signed with them.

He initially aimed for the vacant Mercedes seat but team principal Toto Wolff wanted to have a junior driver in the team and signed Kimi Antonelli as Lewis’s replacement. Sainz Jr with all his inputs and skills could help the Williams Racing team to reach great heights or maybe a 5th place in the constructors championship next year.

Williams and Mercedes teams are in great ties, so who knows? Sainz could also impress the Boss Toto and clinch a driver's seat at Mercedes for the 2026 Season. After all the drama, Ferrari parted ways with the Sainz family. But before that, they gave one last tribute to their consistent performer by allowing him and his father senior sainz to drive their car. Sainz Sr is a rally driver in the Dakar rally and a 4-time world champion. Under his influence, Sainz jr developed an interest in racing and became a racing driver.

Ferrari accompanied both drivers in Fiarona and they tried the machines for one last time. Sainz Jr wanted to follow his father so he drove behind him. The Father-son duo enjoyed their time on the testing track. Sainz Sr thanked Ferrari by saying “You have made a grandfather very happy man today.” For that Sainz jr said, “This year a 62-year-old grandfather tries a Ferrari and wins the Dakar.” And everyone laughed hearing that. He finished his speech by saying “Grazie a tutti and see you next year on the track.”
