The VR46 rider attacked Martin on turn 12, where Martin fell and was hit on his head by Antonio’s bike. He was sliding over the hard kerbs at a very high speed, which broke his ribs and punctured his lungs to some degree.

Martin suffered immense pain lying on the track while the race stewards came to rescue him. Jorge was then taken to the medical centre for examination and was later sent to the Doha government hospital for further checks.

It was found that Martin suffered a huge injury as he had 8 rib fractures. His lungs were also collapsed due to the accident, and now doctors are advising him to take bed rest for at least three months. The rider who hit Martin, Fabio Di Giannantonio, was shocked to see him on the floor.

The Italian describes that it was the greatest fear he faced in his entire life. After the race, Giannatonio went to Marrin’s garage to check about his health condition. Antonio feels that he had no space to go, and hitting Martin on his head was unintentional.

Earlier this year, the Aprilia Racing rider suffered a double fracture at the Malaysian GP testing. Again, he had a fracture in his wrist and leg during a Motogp testing session in Barcelona. Clearly, it is not happening for Martin, so he needs to take some time off and return next year and fight for his title.

Marc Marquez is leading the riders' championship against his brother Alex Marquez and teammate Francesco Bagnaia. The Ducatii are leading the constructors' championship and their only nearest rival is Honda, followed by Aprilia, KTM and Yamaha.
