MotoGP legend Marc Marquez clinched the Qatar Grand Prix for Ducati against a surprise threat from Maverick Vinales and KTM. The Spanish rider was brilliant in defending his position and took back his lead in the 2025 MotoGP riders championship. His brother Alex Marquez finished in P7 after an opening-lap collision with Marc. The KTM bikes looked stronger but in the end, Ducati held off the challenge from the Austrian brand. Reigning world champion Jorge Martin suffered a crash in the later stages and was taken to the medical centre.

2025 MotoGP Qatar GP Race Summary
Marc Marquez was surprised by Franco Morbidelli's sudden launch and lost his pole position. The biggest surprise was that maverick Vinales unleashed his fury against the Ducati bikes. He got past all of them, and by the end of lap 10, he overtook race leader Morbidelli. This is the first time KTM is leading a race at Qatar GP. The Ducati Factory bike had no answers against the sheer pace of KTM under lights. Ducati Garage was surprised by the pace of the KTM RC16 and was left in awe.
But a late mistake from Vinales allowed Marquez to overtake him, and he kept it till the end of the race. This is his fourth win as a six-time world champion in the 2025 MotoGP season. He also won for the first time in Doha since the 2014 season. The rider who impressed us the most was definitely Maverick Vinales with the KTM. If he had not made that mistake, then KTM would have won the race in Qatar.
