He is on the verge of claiming his first-ever ATP crown this year as he moved to the finals of the ATP season. He defeated Casper Rudd 6-1, 6-2 in straight sets and will now play against Taylor Fritz in the finals. Taylor Fritz the American tennis player previously played against Sinner at the US Open 2024 finals and lost the title. Now the Italian will again play against the American and this time he will be looking to dominate one more time to complete the year on a high.

Sinner has a winning streak of 10 matches and the tournament is happening in his home country. The Turin crowd will be completely behind Sinner in the finals and Taylor needs to find some motivation elsewhere to shine against Sinner. With this final, the 23-year-old player from Italy holds the record that even Tennis greats like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic didn't achieve in their tennis career.

Sinner vs Big 3

He became the youngest ever person to reach the US Open, Australian Open, and ATP finals in the same season since 1988 when the Australian Open switched to hard court. Jannik Sinner is 23 years and 92 days old and he achieved this feat in no time. He is not a man, he is a playing machine. Last year he lost to Novak Djokovic in the ATP finals and this year he is looking to win the tournament for the first time and also hold his winning streak.

Fritz also became the first American tennis player to reach the ATP finals since Pete Sampras 25 years ago. He was beaten by a sinner in the US Open finals and this Turin tournament group-stage match. Taylor Fritz is yet to take his revenge and this will be the biggest upset he will cause for Sinner before his home crowd in Italy if he wins the finals.
