Talking about the tournament Alcaraz said “Probably one of the most emotional and special tournaments I’m going to play. Last tournament of Rafa, I’ll be able to be next to him in the last moments, on a tennis court for him. This year we have a really special chance to win it.” He said he would do everything to win the Davis Cup tournament for himself and also for his idol Rafael Nadal who is playing his last ever tennis tournament. Carlos wishes Nadal to retire from tennis with a title in his hands.
Rafael Nadal is one of the most celebrated Sports personalities in Tennis after Roger Federer as they both went beyond tennis with their good. He was part of the ‘Big Three’ club which has Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic all three multiple-time grand slam winners.
But the last few years were not that good for Rafa as he struggled with many injuries which prevented him from playing to his full potential and giving his best. His friend Roger Federer retired from Tennis and with now Nadal leaving the game after the Davis Cup Djokovic is the only legend from the old era left in the game.
