Red Bull driver Sergio Perez is having a terrible year because of his performance slump over the last 10 races. Red Bull lost their F1 constructors title lead to McLaren and Ferrari as both their drivers were not in sync regarding scoring points for the team. Only Max Verstappen is holding the Austrian team, while Perez’s struggle continues with his car.
Many are calling for Red Bull to take immediate action against Perez by replacing him with some other deserving driver. The Red Bull garage is already thinking about its future with Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson and Franco Colapinto. But recently Perez signed a contract extension with the Energy drink brand and will join Max Verstappen next year too.
Apart from fans, some ex-Formula 1 drivers, commentators and journalists want Sergio Perez to be replaced as well. Ralf Schumacher was one of those ex-Formula 1 drivers and now Sky sports journalist who wants Perez to be replaced. He posted an Instagram story regarding the matter.

The senior Perez said, “There’s a driver who was a Formula 1 driver, journalist. He first stated that Checo was already out of Red Bull. The following week, he came out of the closet. I don't know if he was in love with Checo. Do you understand it? There are many strange things."
"You no longer know if he is a journalist, a woman, a gentleman. But his opinion doesn't matter, not because of Checo Perez, but because of what his wife said about him,” he added. Ralf Schumacher divorced his wife Cora Brinkmann in 2015 and recently confirmed that he has a relationship with his boyfriend. He has a son who is also a junior racing driver. The German driver demanded results should speak instead of whining before the media. Sergio Perez has a chance to prove himself that he is a deserving driver as the season still has three more races and if he can crack a win in one of those then all the speculations will be over and he can have a fresh start next year.
