F1 2024 is the year of shaming for the Mexican Formula 1 legend Sergio Perez. He is the best driver Mexico has ever produced and he justifies them with his achievements. Checo is still a great driver.

Even before coming to the Red Bull team, Perez is still one of the greatest achievers in the sport. He is the best driver for Force India which later changed into Racing Point. Checo is the only Pole winner for the Racing Point team which he won in the 2020 Bahrain GP.

This achievement is still the best for Racing Point which now became the Aston Martin F1 team. Even 4-time champion Sebastian Vettel and 2-time champion Fernando Alonso could not win a pole till now. He is also a consistent performer and point scorer for the team which helped Racing Point to reach 4th place in constructors next to big teams like Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull.

'Rejected 2 offers to stay' - Perez.

As many wanted Sergio Perez to be replaced with Liam Lawsonor Franco Colapinto for the 2025 season, Checo has revealed big news that he kept himself a secret. To stay with the Red Bull team for the 2025 season, Sergio Perez rejected two driver opportunities.

He said “I had an opportunity, two opportunities, to change teams. When I looked at it, I thought, I really love the challenge I have at Red Bull. It's a massive challenge being Max’s teammate. It's a challenge that basically trains you for all of it. So I said I want to spend the last part of my career at the top, at the very top, where the pressure, it's full on.”

Perez was very far behind his teammate Max Verstappen who is on the verge of winning his fourth world title this weekend in Las Vegas. But Checo is still struggling to even score points in the last few races. His last podium came back in April 2024 at the Shanghai GP.

Without the help of Sergio Perez Red Bull can't compete for the constructors title with Ferrari and McLaren. Let us hope Checo will finish this year on a positive note and make a massive comeback next year by winning races, fighting for the title and also proving himself before all his critics.
