Formula 1 fans across the world are excitedly awaiting the day that Lewis Hamilton actually drives for Ferrari. Joining the esteemed Maranello squad, the seven-time world champion will add to the legendary drivers' list that includes the likes of Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and Michael Schumacher. Before the 2024 season, he made the historic news that he was joining Ferrari.

Following an outstanding twelve years with Mercedes, where he won six of his seven titles, the British driver depated the Silver Arrows. In addition to breaking many other records, his collaboration with Mercedes made him the most successful driver in Formula One history in terms of victories, podium finishes, and pole positions. Hamilton's goal as he starts his new chapter with Ferrari is to win a record-breaking seventh World Championship.

Given that Hamilton has a contract that runs through 2026 with a one-year option, this is likely to be his last move in Formula One. Many are looking forward to Hamilton's Ferrari driving debut. Hamilton's first public appearance with Ferrari will take place on February 18th at the renowned F175 event, when the team will unveil its 2025 challengers. But before this eagerly anticipated occasion, Hamilton will start his team integration in January by taking part in a test at Ferrari's Fiorano Circuit.

According to Frederic Vasseur, the team principal for Ferrari, the test will not be as spectacular as Michael Schumacher's debut. Hamilton's preparation for the 2025 season will be Ferrari's exclusive priority. Nevertheless, Ferrari supporters are anticipated to fill the streets surrounding Maranello in droves to see the seven-time winner in his brand-new red car.

F175 event to be held in London O2 Arena

Before Hamilton's February public appearance, there won't be a press conference to introduce him to Ferrari. Before his big reveal, the 40-year-old is anticipated to arrive in Maranello on January 20th to familiarise himself with his new team and surroundings, according to rumours. Fans and media outlets won't be able to witness Hamilton's official Ferrari red introduction until the F175 event at London's O2 Arena. 

To win his eighth world championship, Hamilton will be trying to improve the team's performance as he gets ready to take on the challenge at Ferrari. With Hamilton under increasing pressure to succeed and help propel Ferrari back to the top of Formula 1, the upcoming season will be crucial.
