Max Verstappen recently won his fourth Formula 1 world championship this year at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. This is Red Bull’s eighth driver's world title with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen winning four each. The Dutch driver is already starting to lose interest in Formula 1 as he often speaks about retiring from Formula 1 and trying something new like participating in the big endurance races.
Verstappen doesn't want to stay long in F1 as he thinks he has achieved everything in the sport and for now, he wants to enjoy racing as long as possible. Max Verstappen’s Red Bull contract ends in the 2028 season. Recently, Sergio Perez was replaced with Liam Lawson for the 2025 season. Before Max leaves the Milton Keynes squad they need to find a good driver having the same potential as him.
The replacement for Max Verstappen
Looks like Red Bull is eyeing a McLaren driver who can replace Max verstappen in the future and it is none other than Oscar Piastri. Last october, Red Bull boss Helmut Marko claimed that Mark Webber former Red Bull driver and Oscar’s manager was intensively seeking negotiations with him for a seat in the Austrian team.
Piastri will drive for McLaren until the 2026 season and after that, he could move to Red Bull as their main driver. There are already speculations regarding Max verstappen future with the team. He could make his next move to Mercedes or Ferrari and If that happens sooner or later Red Bull needs to find a perfect replacement for Max.

Oscar has all the potential and talent to replace Max verstappen at Red Bull as the Australian driver proved himself in his rookie season in 2023, and this season he has already won 2 races in Hungary and Azerbaijan. McLaren already are invested in Lando Norris as they see him as their future.
Piastri could soon feel the heat inside the team as number two. Mark Webber was a very successful driver for Red Bull during his racing days. Sebastian Vettel and Webber dominated the entire grid until Mark Webber's retirement in the 2013 season. If Red Bull signs Oscar Piastri then it is a good sign for both the Australian and the Milton Keynes team.
