Jorge Martin won the Australian MotoGP sprint race with cool and calm after leading the race from the start. Marc Marquez finished second after having a bad start to the race and finally catching up to pole position. Ducati’s Bastianini surpassed his teammate Francesco Bagnaia in the late stage and clinched third position and the reigning champion ended in fourth.

The injured Giannantonio (VR 46) was very impressive throughout the race and he claimed fifth position after his teammate Marco Bezzecchi (VR 46) and Vinales (Aprilia) had a massive crash incident. Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) got sixth place, Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse racing) at seventh, Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) at eighth, Augusto Fernandez (Gas Gas tech 3) in ninth, and Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) in Tenth. Hometown hero Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) crashed out of the race after a late attempt to enter the points table.

The final 5 riders who completed the race were Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), Alex Rins (Yamaha), Joan Mir (Repsol Honda), Takaaki Nakagaami (LCR Honda), and Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia). The reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia didn't have a good weekend in Australia as he was seen struggling all the time.

The initial surge in the sprint race seemed to have got him momentum but again he lost it to incoming Marc Marquez and his teammate Enea Bastianini. Now he needs to do some hard work to get back his lost points to defend his MotoGP title this year.

'The Martinator' Show this year

On the other hand, Jorge Martin keeps on impressing everyone by being consistent all year winning back-to-back sprint poles. He is very much looking to win his first-ever MotoGP title this year by showing an incredible run in every session.

The Australian Grand Prix will end tomorrow with the main race. Jorge Martin will hope to continue his good run and end the weekend on a high. Pecco Bagnaia on the other hand will look to finish the best to close the gap between him and Jorge Martin for the title.
