The Japanese GP in MotoGP is underway, and reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia is the fastest man on the track, which was hit by rain during the First free practice session at Motegi. He was followed by other Ducati bikes of Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martin, Team VR 46 rider Fabio di Giannantonio, and 8-time world champion Marc Marquez of Gresini Racing. Most of the riders spent their time in the garage as rain struck twice during the practice session.

Japan’s very own son started the practice session by taking the top spot in Free practice and gave the Japanese fans something to cheer. Bagnaia Started the weekend very strongly as he set the fastest lap with a 1.45.209s before the rain struck and everyone headed towards the pits.
10 Minutes were left when the rain stopped and riders started to test their skills on the track again. But the rain came back and rain flags were waved. Bagnaia was 0.109s ahead of championship leader Jorge Martin. Jack Miller was the fastest non-Ducati rider as he rode his KTM bike to fifth position. He was followed by Bezzecchi of the VR 46 team.
The fastest non-European bike was from Repsol Honda with Joan Mir clocking the seventh fastest. Zarco of Team LCR clocked eighth fastest and Vinales of Aprilia Racing came ninth. The final of the Top 10 spot was occupied by Bastianini of the Ducati Factory racing team.
The final spots were taken by Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing), Nakagami (Team LCR), Pedro Acosta (Gas Gas Tech3), Alex Rins (Yamaha Factory Racing), Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team), Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), Quartararo (Yamaha Factory Racing), Morbidelli (Pramac racing), L.Marini (Repsol Honda), R.Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing team).
The last three positions were given to A. Fernandez (Tech3), L.Savadori (Track house racing), R Gardner (Yamaha Factory racing team). No rider has completed more than 12 laps in the first practice session. This weekend we can expect damp conditions in the track.
