Max Verstappen breaks silence on his wedding plans after becoming a dad

Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen announced that he will become a father in 2025. Verstappen lives in Monaco with his girlfriend Kelly Piquet and her daughter Penelope. The couple is often spotted together during races and on vacations. They are now expecting their first child together. The Red Bull driver was asked about his marriage plans with Kelly. The 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix the couple announced they expecting their first child in 2025.

This new child will be the future of two multiple-time world champions Max verstappen and Nelson Piquet. Kelly is the daughter of the Brazilian Formula 1 legend and three-time world champion. Max and Nelson together have 7 world titles. Max Verstappen’s father Jos verstappen was also a Formula 1 driver and was the teammate of 7-time world champion Michael Schumacher. So the child to be born already has three generations of racing blood. His mother was also a karting champion and is still doing Karting races. 

Max on his Marriage Plans

The Dutchman also gave a hint of marrying Kelly in the future. He was asked when he would marry Kelly and he replied “Not yet, but it will probably happen soon.” Max and Kelly met when the Brazilian model was dating Danii Kvyat Ex-Red Bull driver. He was replaced by Max Verstappen in 2015 and the rest is history.

Kvyat and Kelly have a daughter named Penelope. After their breakup, Max Verstappen and Kelly started going to parties with friends and soon became very close. During COVID, their friendship became love and it has gone too long and they started dating. The Four-time world champion will defend his title this year against McLaren, ferrari and Mercedes who have grown from strength to strength over the years. The Red Bull driver will find it difficult this season but he is still the best driver on the grid. If he becomes champion this year then Michael Schumacher’s record of five consecutive titles will be equalled.
