The message was broadcast during the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix at Silverstone, where Verstappen defiantly declared that he wouldn't drive "like a grandma" while pursuing Mercedes.

His race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, advised him to manage his tyres carefully—a standard strategy considering Mercedes' pace and the potential risks of tyre degradation.
