Makers reveal much anticipated Brad Pitt starrer Formula 1 film release date

The release date for the most awaited Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt has been revealed by the makers. According to a report Apple Original Films along with Formula 1 will distribute the film worldwide in June 2025.

The release date for the most awaited Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt has been revealed by the makers. According to a report, Apple Original Films, along with Formula 1, will distribute the film worldwide in June 2025.

The North American continent will get to watch the film on June 27, 2025, while the rest of the world will get it two days before, on June 25, 2025. It’s worth noting that the Brad Pitt starter film is being filmed during the Grand Prix weekends and will include all 10 real teams, drivers FIA officials and support staff.

The movie is reportedly about a seasoned driver who is making a return to the track with a rookie driver for a new team named APXGP. Notably, Pitt will play the role of a seasoned driver, while the rookie will be played by Damson Idris. 

Which Grand Prix are being used to produce the film?

The production of the film is still ongoing as it will shoot some key scenes in the upcoming British Grand Prix at Silverstone and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in July and December 2024, respectively. After the season ends, the film will go under post-production at a studio in Hollywood before visiting theatres in June next year. 

Notably, the film is being directed by Joseph Kosinski while Jerry Bruckheimer is producing the film. The cast includes Academy Award winner Javier Bardem and Academy Award nominee Kerry Condon, as well as Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, Samson Kayo and Callie Cooke.

Meanwhile, the Formula 1 caravan has reached Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix. The event will mark the 10th round of the ongoing season. After a massive comeback in Montreal, Max Verstappen will be keen to continue his dominance in Formula 1.
