The company sells bikes across many countries, and India’s Bajaj is one of the biggest shareholders of the brand. But recently the company shares have gone downhill, and they are in immediate need of an emergency rescue.

KTM’s biggest racing programme is the MotoGP programme, which has two racing teams: The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team and a satellite team named Gas Gas Tech 3 Racing. The sudden financial crisis has put its racing programmes under scrutiny and they are awaiting their rescue.

Lewis Hamilton 'The Angel'

The Guardian Angel the Austrian Brand is looking for is none other than 7-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton. KTM Motorsport boss Pit Beirer has claimed they are in contact with the F1 legend for a potential investment into the team. They have 3 billion euros in debt and are currently under self-administration under Austrian law.

There were also some speculations regarding withdrawal from MotoGP. It could save a huge amount of money. KTM is confident of racing in 2025, but beyond that, they don't know the future, and the new regulations in MotoGP will get implemented in 2027, and they need huge money to continue their research and development for that.

Red Bull and India’s Bajaj Auto are some of the investors, and they are looking for more investors. Lewis Hamilton is one of the potential investors who could save the team from exiting the MotoGP programme. The F1 legend is already a billionaire, and his brand value could attract more investors to pour their money.

If Lewis nods head, then this will be the first time the British racing legend is directly involved in a MotoGP team. KTM is yet to win their premier class title like their rivals Ducati, Honda, and Yamaha, but with investments, they can prepare to take the fight, having wonderful riders like Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder.
