The FIA has been very harsh on Max Verstappen after they wanted the world champion to do community service for swearing during the press conference. Even Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton supported the Red Bull driver during their post-qualifying press conference session.

After completing an impressive final qualifying session, finishing second, Max Verstappen moved to the press room along with Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton. During the Press, Max was very cautious and quiet as he mostly answered giving one-liners. Max Verstappen seemed to be not interested in giving lengthy answers elaborating things with the press.

At one point he said he might get fined for speaking or get an extra day of community service. The reporters got fed up with the racer being so quiet which is unlike Verstappen. They asked if he could elaborate on the changes made to his car. He said he would prefer to answer questions outside the room.

Max Verstappen’s rival and pole-sitter Lando Norris was asked about the whole Verstappen vs FIA saga and he answered with a joke. “He deserved it, foul language so..I think it is pretty unfair, I don't agree with any of it.” Lewis Hamilton his former rival also came in support of Max. He said “I think it is a bit of a joke, to be honest. This is the pinnacle of the sport, Mistakes are made. I certainly wouldn't be doing it and i hope max doesn't do it,” he said.

The three time world champion is well known for swearing in team radio during heat moments in races. But Max came under fire during the singapore GP free practice session. He was summoned by the FIA stewards after he said “Knew the car was f##d’ about his cars performance at the Azerbaijan grand prix.

The drivers swearing over the radio has become the key talking point of this week rather than the actual races. FIA president Sulayem said, “We are drivers not rappers to use foul language.” This triggered Lewis Hamilton who said the FIA president used the wrong choice of words as there was a racial element in his statement.

Everything is adding up to the main race at the Marina Bay Circuit, singapore. The title race is going to be intense between McLaren and Red Bull as Max Verstappen and Lando Norris will be battling out for the World title this year.
