James Vowels claimed that Franco Colapinto would return to Williams at some point after the end of his loan period with Alpine. Speaking to RacingNews365, the Williams Boss confirmed the move but did not give the exact period when he could return. Vowels said he wanted Franco to be a full-time driver for Williams in 2025 or 2026.

Vowels addressed that Franco has been an Alpine driver for the last few years. James hoped to see him back in Wiliams after the end of his current loan period. Colapinto was picked as the third driver by Alpine courtesy of some loan following some great races. Vowels believed Williams was his home where he would return in the future.

James felt the best shot to get Franco back to the team was as a full-time racer either in 2025 or 2026. "There is a period where I hope he is racing for Alpine, and the reason we did it, is that I want him to be racing in 2025 or 2026, and this is the best chance he has without being with us," James Vowles added.

The Williams Boss hoped Jack to have a successful time. However, he claimed Colapinto would be his team's main driver in the upcoming years. He confirmed the return of Colapinto without being sure of his exact return date to the team.

"That is why is there, and I don't mean that is to the detriment of Jack, I hope Jack has a successful time, but ultimately Franco is my driver who I want back in the car after some time, and he will return to Williams," added Vowels in his statement.

The Williams Boss said there was not a set return date for Colapinto. However, he was sure of Franco's return. "That period is not set in stone where I can look you in the eyes and say it, but I can say he'll be back at Williams at some point," the Williams Boss concluded.
