Prima Pramac is the first independent manufacturer to win a MotoGP title after Valentino Rossi’s win with Honda’s satellite team. Jorge Martin also became the first driver in the MotoGP era to win a championship, riding in a non-factory racing team.

Their historic achievement has earned them new sponsors for the 2025 season and one of the biggest sponsors for them will be Alpine. They will join the Italian team as the main partner. Alpine has a team in Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship. Now they will also have a team in the MotoGP bike racing series.

Renault CEO Luca de Meo and Pramac team principal Paolo Campinoti are very close friends and their friendship resulted in this new agreement between Alpine and Prima Prmac. From 2007 to 2010, Yamaha was sponsored by the FIAT Group when De Meo was the director.

Pramac Team principal Paolo Campinoti said, “I am very proud of the start of this collaboration with Alpine, a historic brand that is now also a major player in F1 and WEC. This is the first time that a manufacturer present in the world’s premier racing series has made such an important entry into MotoGP, and the fact that it has chosen Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP to do so is proof of what we have built over these years.”

Prima Pramac will join hands with Yamaha for the 2025 season after winning the championship title with Ducati. They will have Miguel Oliveira and Jack Miller as their two riders and their livery will be unveiled on January 31. The preseason test will begin next week at Sepang Circuit in Malaysia.
