Kimi Antonelli lost the chance to convert his pole position into a win in the Miami Grand Prix sprint race. But it was a great evening for the 18-year-old Italian and his family as he became the youngest pole sitter in the history of Formula 1. Sebastian Vettel held the record for the youngest pole sitter back in 2008, and Antonelli has now beaten the German to become the new youngest pole sitter.
His father was a very proud man after the Sprint qualifying. Kimi even qualified third in the qualifying session. He missed the chance in the sprint, and let's hope he makes it big in the main race. But before the sprint race, there was a funny moment that happened between Kimi and his father, Marco Antonelli.
F1 racing is a high-pressure game, and the drivers go through immense pressure before the race starts. So they calm themselves by speaking with experts, listening to music, and meditating. The Miami Grand Prix sprint race was interrupted by heavy rain, and the race was delayed. The 18-year-old rookie driver was starting from pole position and was very tense.

The Mercedes crew were getting ready for the race, and Antonelli was sitting with his race engineer, Bono. Marco Antonelli was also present to see his son start from pole for the first time. As he was speaking with the Mercedes crew, he looked shocked. He searched for his son, who was going to start the race, and Kimi was nowhere to be found.
He even went to the car and lifted the cover over the driver's seat. Then one of the crew members showed him the place of Antonelli, who was sitting calmly with Bono on the other side. Marco was relieved to see his son and laughed at him. Kimi Antonelli was too serious, as he couldn't even figure out what was happening.
This shows a great father-son bond in Formula 1. Every parent wants their child to be in front of their eyes, and so does Marco Antonelli. But unfortunately, Kimi Antonelli missed out during the race as he was overtaken by Oscar Piastri on the first lap. He even had a collision with Max Verstappen during the pit stop.
