F1 Tracks open to the Public: Drive your car on Iconic Race Circuits

Many people dream of driving a Formula 1 car, but most can't afford it. The positive side is people can drive in some Formula 1 tracks for free.

Formula 1 is the world's top high-speed racing championship. F1 is watched by millions around the world, and it has a big fan following. Everybody has dreamed of driving an F1 car in their life. But there are some F1 circuits where we can drive our car and enjoy the day. Not all F1 circuits are allowed or open to the public. However, some street circuits used for Formula 1 races are easily available to the public. There are some of the iconic tracks that are used in Formula 1, and people can experience them live.

Street Circuits Open for Public

  • Las Vegas is one place where the street has been used as a racetrack since the 2023 season. The roadside has many hotels, casinos, and tourist attractions, and people can drive during non-racing days.
  • Baku in Azerbaijan has hosted Formula 1 races for many years, and the streets in the middle of the city are used as race tracks. There are many landmarks, and the circuit goes by the Caspian Sea.
  • Albert Park in Melbourne is open to the public for nine months a year, and only three months are taken for hosting F1 and many other sporting events. People can drive their cars here and enjoy the city and lake views.
  • Monaco is Formula 1's crown jewel and one of the oldest tracks. The Circuit runs through the streets of Monte Carlo, the capital of Monaco, and on the way we see many iconic buildings and yachts. People can easily drive in the circuit for free.
  • Canada hosts Formula 1 races at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, which is open to the public. The circuit is closed for only two weeks for F1, and the rest of the time people can enjoy the track.
  • Saudi Arabia has the second-longest race track in Formula 1. It is using the streets of Jeddah as a racetrack. The circuit is located on the banks of the Red Sea, and it is open to the public for most of the year.
  • In Singapore’s Marina Bay Street circuit, people can drive an F1 car and many other sports cars as rentals. It also hosted the first ever street race in Formula 1 history, and the track is a nightmare for many F1 drivers.
