Sprint Qualifying Summary

The F1 2025 season’s first sprint qualifying started at the chinese grand prix with the qualifying session. In the first qualifying session, Red Bull driver Liam Lawson shocked the team by finishing on the last and getting eliminated. Esteban Ocon complained that his Haas car was undrivable while his teammate Oliver Bearman made it to the next session. After the end of the session, the two Alpines, Ocon, and Nico Hulkenberg were out.

The second qualifying session was brilliant for George Russell and Kimi Antonelli as they emerged into the top 5. The two Ferraris made it to the final 10 while Alonso was out-qualified by his teammate Lance Stroll and was eliminated. The drivers to get eliminated in the Q2 round were Hadjar, Alonso, Bearman, Sainz and Bortoleto.

The Final qualifying session was a thriller as Lando norris made a huge mistake in sector 1 and was already out. With Piastri leading the table, the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton who has traditionally dominated the Shanghai track showed his mastery by smashing the all-time lap record set by Sebastian Vettel in the 2018 season. Hamilton will start the Sprint race on the front row and is expected to dominate the entire race weekend. The 2025 F1 chinese grand prix is a tough track as control is the key here and Hamilton has now shown why he is the best in the business. Let us see whether he can convert the pole into a win tomorrow.
