NASCAR driver Kyle Larson has previously claimed that he is a better driver than world champion Max Verstappen. Now he could get a chance to prove his point as Mclaren plans to give him an F1 test. He is one of the top drivers in the American race championship. He has the intention of driving the single-seater car by racing in the Indianapolis 500. He never drove a Formula 1 car before but he claims he is better than Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen.

'I'm better than Max'-Kyle Larson

Kyle Larson said “I know in my mind I am better than him as an all-round driver. There’s no way Verstappen can get into a Sprint car and win the Knoxville Nationals. There’s no way he can win Chili bowl. There’s no way he can win in Bristol. There’s no way i can go win a Formula 1 race at monaco.”

He believes he is better than Max Verstappen in every other car other than single-seaters. Larson made an appearance in the Indy 500 with the support of McLaren Racing chief Zak Brown. They also had talks with the Americans to test-ride a Formula 1 car in the future.

McLaren and Zak Brown are now in a neck-to-neck fight with Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. They already overtook Red Bull in constructors title points. Their driver Lando Norris is nearing Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in championship points this year.

Red Bull on the other hand is struggling with Balance issues in their cars. Max Verstappen and Red Bull haven't won a single race in the last six circuits. Oscar Piastri and Norris are leading every race and currently, they are unmatched with their pace. Verstappen and Red Bull are working on some improvements in their car. They will be racing next at Austin in the Circuit of the Americas which is recently revamped after last year's bumpy race.
