CM Punk keeps expanding his list of Hollywood accomplishments. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the WWE star who acted in independent horror films Jakob's Wife, Girl on the Third Floor, and Rabid is poised to join writer/director Ryan Prows' Night Patrol. The story claims that Punk, whose actual name is Phil Brooks, will play a significant role in the movie. Dermot Mulroney, RJ Cyler, Justin Long, and Jermaine Fowler also join the cast as stars.

Night Patrol, currently scheduled for release in 2025, centers on the LAPD, notably on one officer (portrayed by Fowler) who must reconcile with the local street gangs. CM Punk discovers that a local police task group is hiding a horrifying secret that puts the people who live in the housing complexes where he was raised in jeopardy. Punk will portray Long's character's father and the sergeant's (Mulroney) right-hand guy.

Punk's most recent acting roles were as Ricky Rabies in STARZ's Heels and other Mayans M.C. episodes. Additionally, he will appear in a Dark Sky Films independent comedy that will be released later this month. After a turbulent tenure with rival organization AEW, Punk returned to WWE last autumn and is now a full-time wrestler. He recently concluded a major rivalry with former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, another well-known figure.

Dave Bautista praised CM Punk

He just said in a live WWE Raw interview that he doesn't know when he will see his fans again, but he vows to return soon. He could be making a comeback at the Royal Rumble in February of next year since it seems to be related to his shooting schedule.

When he returns, he will have plenty of adversaries to return to, including Seth Rollins, who is still waiting in the wings after threatening the seasoned wrestler, and Gunther, who followed Bash in Berlin. Dave Bautista, a fellow professional wrestler who is now an actor, recently praised Punk, saying he thinks Punk has "unlimited potential" as an actor.
